CHILD WILDLIFE SAFETY

Be aware that there has been one bobcat sighting and several coyote sightings around Eastview. Be watchful of children when outside, particularly smaller children.

WINTER REMINDERS

  • Remove all air conditioner units from windows.
  • Change smoke detector batteries.
  • Disconnect outside water hoses.
  • Maintain adequate heat during the winter months, particularly, in downstairs bathrooms and kitchens.
  • During heavy snowstorms, keep heating vent exhaust pipes clear.
  • If you are leaving for the winter months, please make sure your unit is properly winterized before departing and that Property Management knows how to contact you or whoever is attending your unit in case of an emergency.

WINTER SNOW PLOWING/PARKING REMINDERS

If you use the overflow parking areas, please remember to remove any and all vehicles to your driveways when snow is forecasted or snow starts falling so the parking lots and streets can be plowed first (without anyone being plowed in, which could interfere with future snow plowing efforts). When the parking lots and streets are plowed, please immediately move those vehicles in your driveways back into the parking lots, so the driveways can be plowed next. During the winter months, if you plan to be away for vacation/business or just at work for the day, please do not leave any of your vehicles parked in the overflow parking lots. If you must leave a vehicle outside when not at home, it should be in your driveway and not in the parking lots. The RV lot can be used for extended parking -please contact PMA. Also, make sure that any vehicles parked in the lower RV parking lot are registered or they will be towed at owner expense, as well as vehicles not moved out of overflow parking areas to facilitate snow plowing [as requested above].

HOLIDAY PARKING

During the holiday season, the overflow parking lots become filled. On street parking is allowed during the day as long as those vehicle owners are on-site to move their vehicles in case of fire or police emergencies. Please be considerate of your neighbors and do not block anyone’s drive. There should be no overnight street parking.

OPT-IN INSULATION PROGRAM

We currently have received pricing to add insulation to unit attics. Bugbee Insulation has given us pricing to add 4 inches of insulation to the attic area to avoid heat loss. The pricing is as follows:

Garden Style Units (without basement): $488.00

Garden Style Units (with basement): $600.00

Townhouse Style Units: $378.00

Limited time pricing: So, please call Bugbee’s immediately to make arrangements at 864-4766. In addition, some units have drafty or very cold unit walls that also might need insulation, so please call Bugbee for an estimate. Owners will contract with and pay Bugbee directly.

FRONT PORCH RAILINGS

The Board has decided to offer front stoop railings to the following units (221, 223, 225, 227, 231, 233, 235, 237, 241, 243). Owners of these units that are interested in railings should contact Property Management Associates by 9/30/11. These railings will be installed this fall.

GUTTER LEAK CALL-IN

If any of your gutters have leaks please contact property management by 9/30/11, so we can arrange for repairs by patching leaks this fall.

TREE & SHRUB REMOVAL

If any owners wish to have any trees [in front of their units] or shrubs [in front of their windows] removed prior to any scheduled landscaping to their units please notify property management by 9/30/11, who will collect these requests for Board consideration.

FALL PROJECTS

Both the landscaping of buildings and additional sidewalk replacements will continue this fall. Unit owners have or will be notified.

It should be mentioned that as apart of the building-landscaping project, that the rear outer corners [adjacent to the deck] will be a simple design with a well placed shrub [like many units currently have]. However, if owners of end units wish to have a garden space for their private use in the rear of their units, then this rear corner space would be an option. Units in the center of the building have a space in the rear of their units that would be available for their gardening aspirations. Such garden spaces are already in use by some owners.

In addition, sections of the roadway on the southern side of the circle will be replaced this fall and then a further evaluation as to whether an overlay or new road will be needed will be conducted during the winter to determine the best and most cost effective solution.

DRYER VENT CLEANING

Do you need to get your dryer vent cleaned? If so, please calling Quality Duct Cleaning at 893-7716. They do offer our Association discounted pricing.

BENCHES

Two new benches will be installed on the property. Please use them. They are for your enjoyment. We expect to have them installed next spring. These will be great additions to the neighborhood.

POWER WASHING & SIDING REPAIRS

All units will be power washed both front and back this fall, and then siding in need of repair will be replaced.
